What a sad, but perhaps inevitable descent the Canadian PT profession has taken in full view of the rest of our healthcare system during a pandemic. To say that the credentialing fiasco that has been a national, even international embarassment, is an understatement, but that it has remained an open, oozing unresolved sore speaks to the systemic cuktural dysfunction of the profesdion and its utter incompetence in demonstrating mature, ethical leadership. Society can do far better than wait around for this childish profession to mature.

Why is this issue never fully explored in terms of why so many PTs leave the profession? It looks like you are avoiding discussing issues that are unflattering to the profession in order to continue to promote it. The lack of transparency is really sad for those of us who got the education, passed the ridiculous CAPR exams and then set out into practice. None of you seem to have the courage to call out the bs, much like how communication in dysfunctional families is compromised. This video was posted 5yrs ago, prior to COVID. Now, with the unresolved credentialing fiasco including the disgusting antics of CAPR, attrition is thru the ceiling. The pandemic exposed much in society that we were unaware of, including out broken healthcare system. Physio is a joke in this mess, without a clue in terms of leadership, its education horrific (both the program and post grad education), clinical competencies that lack awareness in psychosocial health..... And it doesnt take a university degree to perform competetly. You should be ashamed of how this profession pretends to be relevant. It isn't credible.

As a former grad of a Canadian PT program, having passed the money-grab called the National exam, I can confidently assert that PT is an embarassment of epic proportions that should be removed from the Canadian healthcare scene. After watching the bumbling trainwreck of CAPR and the complete lack of leadership within PT, this profession has demonstrated how utterly immature and insecure it is, absent of theory for its practice, lacking evidence to support its claims, PT should be dismantled, the uni program dropped. Ego-driven nonsense.

Good to see webinar on physiotherapy related LGBTQIA population . This is really helpful for the above population and being a physiotherapist, i also wanna suggest to promote the awareness regarding Physiotherapy among LGBTQIA Patients. As they are deprived of physiotherapy in their lives.
